Who's in charge here? Do you wanna get out of here? Body Politic is the second issue of Sweet Tooth. It’s a space for poetry at the intersection of the political and the personal. Give us sensuality. Give us anger. disgust. seduction. Tell us how you really feel. Politics. Religion. Sex. We want party talk. We want to burn it all down. We want you to wink when you hand us back our lighter. Body Politic will explore how we embody our beliefs, how we cannot be separated from our bodies, and how we must be. Creation or commodification? That is the capitalist question. We want feminist exhaustion. We want queer delirium. We want to treat our bodies as a science experiment and our communities as a body. We want you to get the hair out of the shower drain. We want poems about power and its perversions, we want you to ask yourself who’s screwing you. Give us your abject, your ecstatic, your unspeakable. Welcome to Body Politic.
